So the idea of Tiny Village is very simple, build up a village and fill it with happy villagers.  To do this you must build houses, resources, trees and a few other things.  As you build new buildings and objects you can collect coins as taxes, these coins can then be spent on new buildings and items.  You start at level one and as your experience points rack up you increase through the levels and new items and buildings become available to you.  You also need to collect crystals, similar to coins these are spent on new buildings, however they are a little more tricky to come by.

When you build new houses you gain more villagers.  You can set these to work in your tiny village, they can work in the quarry, in the stores or in shops.  There are various jobs you can assign your villagers to keep them happy.  The game is played in real time, when you turn the game off it will still run in the background and things will be happening.  This is good because everything in the game runs on time, so a new building may take 3 hours to complete, it may take 8 hours to make a new rock club, or it may take 15 minutes for taxes to be collected.  So you don’t have to be playing the game for the time to tick by.  However you do need to go into the game to collect taxes and other things.  This makes the game very addictive as you are constantly checking in. 

One of the down sides to the game is the way the company try and get you to spend money.  Crystals are very important if you are to progress in the game, however they can be very hard to come by.  So you can go and buy crystals with your actual money.  These range from a small amount to paying lots of money for large amounts of crystals.  If like most people you don’t want to spend money on this game, progressing can be tricky.  It would be good if you could get free crystals without having to spend money.

So are there any tips we can give you for Tiny Village.  Well one that is pretty obvious but very important is not to waste crystals!  You can use them to speed up building work, but don’t do this as it is a waste.  Just be patient and wait for buildings to finish themselves.  Spend your crystals wisely on new buildings when you can.  Another tip would be to log onto the game on a regular basis, then you can collect all the tax that is owed to you.  The game now has dinosaurs which you can feed up, these however are very expensive to take care of.  A good way to make money is to head to the market.  This becomes available as you increase through the levels, build this and you can then sell your wood, rocks, wool etc...  This is one of the best ways to get some quick cash.

If you are looking for cheats for Tiny Village on the iPhone then I am sorry to say that there are none.  Sometimes on games like this you can set your iPhone forward an hour or more and this will effect the game allowing you to collect lots of coins in tax revenue, however this does not work on Tiny Village.  So as of now there seem to be no Tiny Village cheats, if any cheats do turn up we will let you know by updating the page.
